"The Potter" is a small painting in watercolour I did a few years ago now. Quite often you don't get to keep originals as once they are commissioned they were scanned then destroyed as they have served their purpose once the publisher was in receipt of the digital data.

I have a love of country crafts and have painted them many times, this certainly is one that will become a dying craft very shortly, if not already. There is no need to 'hand throw' something like a chimney pot as this would almost certainly be mass produced by machine. It was painted as I have mentioned in watercolour and body colour on to Saunders Waterford Watercolour paper (300gsm) hot pressed.
