Landscape Noon - Durham City
Landscape Noon - Durham City

There is something about the late afternoon sun that just seems magical, the way it bathes everything in a warm glow of dancing light and colour. Of course it was the most favoured time of the day for the French Impressionists when plein-air working, for exactly that reason.

"Landscape Noon" is a view looking down on the beautiful City of Durham, in County Durham, with two people slowly ambling into the City from one of the outlying villages. The central masterpiece of Romanesque (Norman) architecture, the Cathedral is in view as central to the pictures viewpoint. The building of the cathedral began in 1093 and houses to this day the shrine to the North's best-loved Saint, Cuthbert. The printed image size is approximately 10" x 9" (25.4cm x 22.8cm) set within a white border.

The edition length is 850 and each print is supplied named, signed and numbered in pencil with a 1 inch white border beyond the image size above. Print will be carefully bagged and supplied gently rolled in a protective tube or alternative, complete with a certificate of edition number and print length. Each Giclée Limited Edition print is produced on superior archive quality 192gsm paper supplied as print only and not mounted or framed.
