Cathedral Sunset - Durham City
Cathedral Sunset - Durham City

"Cathedral Sunset" is one of a set of pictures I have created with the theme of Durham Cathedral here in County Durham. As a World Heritage Site the Cathedral sits in an imposing position surrounded on three sides by the river Wear. With it's majesty and fine Romanesque architecture who wouldn't want to paint it, so I join a long list of artists throughout history who have. The most notable artist was Joseph Mallord William Turner who painted here in around 1835, taking a view from slightly further round on the river in his watercolour entitled 'Durham Cathedral.

The edition length is 850 and each print is supplied named, signed and numbered in pencil with a 1 inch white border beyond the image size above. Printed image size is approximately 10" x 9" (25.4cm x 22.8cm) set within a white border. Print will be carefully bagged and supplied gently rolled in a protective tube or alternative complete with a certificate of edition number and print length. Each Giclée Limited Edition print is produced on superior archive quality 192gsm paper supplied as print only and not mounted or framed.
